My name is Aimee Bridge, and my obsession with mosaic art began over 20 years ago with a serendipitous “happy accident”. During a move to a new home, a 34” round ceramic table center fell out and broke as the movers didn’t realize it was unattached to the table. Having a newborn at the time, I threw a piece of plywood and a tablecloth over the table, feeling certain that eventually an idea would spark on how to repair the table. One day I woke up inspired and knowing that I wanted to mosaic the table! I knew nothing about how to mosaic, so in those pre-internet days I became very familiar with all the books in the library on mosaic art. To this day, that table remains one of my favorite pieces. I was hooked!

Over the years I have made many varied types of mosaic art.  I particularly love to create something which has specific and personal meaning for the recipient. From a stained glass night city skyline which reflects the recipient’s view from their balcony, to a “reimagined” piece of the recipient’s favorite watercolor painting, produced in stained glass on the top of a refurbished table; to an “avocado” tray for the owners of an avocado grove. Did you break a favorite plate? Don’t throw it out! I will make something unique for you to still cherish out of those broken pieces. I also enjoy creating anatomically-correct medical mosaic art, owing to one of my past lives as an operating room registered nurse. I will find something from your medical specialty to create a mosaic for your home or office.  Logos? Of course - I will produce a unique mosaic of your business logo to hang on your wall or in a window.

All of my artwork is original and each piece of stained glass or tile is cut by hand. My work is very time and labor-intensive but each piece is a true labor of love.

A combination of stained glass, tile, porcelain dishes, found objects, crystals, and smalti may be found in my artwork. Every piece I make is created with high quality materials and adhesives which are industry standard for professional mosaic artwork. If you desire a piece to be displayed outdoors, this will be discussed ahead of time and the appropriate materials will be used in its construction. You can be confident that your artwork will be enjoyed for many years to come.

All of my creating is done in my home studio in Scottsdale, AZ, with the help and occasional interruptions of my trusty companion Bobo.
